서울대병원 연구팀이 최근 대한진단면역학회 2025 춘계학술대회에서 Gastropanel*을 활용한 연구 결과를 발표하며, 혈액 속 펩시노겐 수치(PG I/II 비율)를 통해 위축성 위염의 중증도를 평가하고 위암 고위험군을 조기에 선별할 수 있는 가능성을 제시했습니다.
연구에 따르면 PG I/II 비율이 낮을수록 위염이 더 심한 경향을 보였으며, 비침습적으로 고위험군을 선별해 정기적인 내시경을 권고하는 데 활용할 수 있는 유용한 지표임이 확인됐습니다.

Simple Blood Test Shows Potential for Early Identification of High-Risk Gastric Cancer Patients
A research team at Seoul National University Hospital presented findings at the 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Society for Diagnostic Immunology, demonstrating that the Gastropanel® blood test can help assess the severity of atrophic gastritis by measuring the pepsinogen I/II ratio — a key marker for identifying individuals at high risk for gastric cancer.
The study found that lower PG I/II ratios were strongly associated with more severe gastritis, suggesting that this non-invasive test may effectively guide the need for regular endoscopic screening in high-risk patients.
Dow Biomedica noted that the research highlights Gastropanel®'s potential to go beyond basic gastritis diagnosis and serve as a precision diagnostic tool for personalized treatment and long-term disease management.
